Grant us holy ones thy protection

And in that protection gives us strength

And in that strength understanding

And in understanding gives us knowledge

And in knowledge gives us justice

And in justice gives us the love of it

And in our love the love of all existences

And in love of all existences the love of earth our mother and all goodness

Prayer to the Earth-Mother

O Earth-Mother!
We praise thee,
Who seed springeth,
Who flower openeth,
Who grass waveth.
We praise thee for winds that wispers
Through the graceful elm,
Through the shapely maple,
Through the lively pine,
Through the shining birch,
Through the mighty oak.
We praise thee for all things.
O Earth-Mother!
Who givest life.

Mother Goddess, be here with us. Father God, be here with us.

O Hooded Lord and Veiled Lady. Who has formed us from dust and water in thy image. Bless and sanctify this circle for the celebration of body, mind , and spirit. Let no deceit nor ignorance, pain nor fear dwell within our human forms. O most powerful God and Goddess give us thy grace, purified and cleansed.

Ye Guardians of the East, Element of Air and all that is in your realm, ,Ye Guardians of the South, Element of Fire and all that is in your realm, Ye Guardians of the West, Element of Water and all that is in your realm, Ye Guardians of the North, Element of Earth and all that is in your realm, . I do summon your elemental energies, We stir the ancestral plains. We call your energies sacred to our coven. Bring forth your Guardians to witness this rite and to protect this sacred circle.

I call upon the powers of the Goddess and the Elements, and the powers of the Ancients. Hear my call and summons. Come now and join us in our celebration of life and love. We take Salt to the North

Samhain Insight and Prayer

As you hear the wind howl outside our ancestors primative lodgings
As they huddle for warmth beside a fire
They prayed for enough food to fill their stomachs and
the strength to roam the land to provide the food
They listened to the Green Man and the Goddess
to utilze the Elements in order to survive
The bond of family and village were the mortar
To the stones of survival
Their perserverance and instict over the years, are
the basis to our modern journey

As Mother Earth begins her slumber into winter
we are greatful to never have to know the
hardships of our ancestors, but to be aware of what they have gone through for us.
We have heat for warmth
the ability to have light as the days shorten and grow dark
The gift of food and drink to nourish our bodies
The knowledge of the Elements to expand our minds

Our Coven provides the Mortar
As our Father and Mother are the everlasting stones
always surrounding us with their Love Knowledge and Light
