Source of strength for all Women and Men

without you naught is born nor perfected
I call upon you, ruler of creation
I call upon you as divine
I call upon your holy name
Brigid, be pleased to grant that which I ask,
protect this house and home
and all who live therein,
so shall I always thank you with due faith

A holy-stone upon the ground.
O Goddess I thank thee for the happy find,
Also the spirit who upon this road

By Love and Joy and Work and Play
All things harmful cast away
By lightening's flash, and rain's soft fall
By the Power that made us all
By the Power that blesses Thee
This is the time of Brigid, the Patron of Poets and Fire,
and of Healing.
This is the time of new beginnings, when the Mother has become
Maiden.
The days have turned, and grow longer, and the Sun-child is
Growing to His strength.
